THE SKYBOX
Daniel, New York
Daniel Boulud's troupe of 30 cooks scuttles around the 1,800-square-foot kitchen, searing sea scallops and shaving enough black truffles to have earned the place three Michelin stars. Up in your glass-walled perch, an eight-course tasting menu makes its way to your table, each dish paired with the perfect wine, if you'd like. You've got your own lighting and sound system (get the maître 'd to cue up your playlist), and the table is large enough for four, so there's plenty of room for kneeling and canoodling. The final touch: The staff will present a "surprise" course; when the silver domes are lifted, one plate is empty, while the other contains the ring. There's champagne at the ready, of course. less
