"My husband is an immigrant and loves Thanksgiving with the true love of a person who has adopted America heart and soul. He will have a turkey on Thanksgiving or die trying, basically. One year we had to pull together a dinner for just ourselves at the last minute, and he made: turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing, gravy, green beans and this
grapefruit cranberry relish. It was the most delicious, balanced, sublime Thanksgiving meal I have ever had. Of course, haven't been able to stick with it. Last year we had a groaning table under last-minute pot-luck that included a seitan pot pie!" --Valerie Isakova
