Myth: Being a legacy (the child of an alumnus) gets you in.
Myth: Being a legacy (the child of an alumnus) gets you in.
Fact: Sure, being a legacy definitely helps your candidacy at most colleges, but you
also need to have grades and SAT scores that are actually within the school's range. No one wants a legacy kid dropping out because they can't handle the workload!
