Low-Fat Foods Are "Better" for You
Processed low-fat snack foods often
contain more sugar and salt than their full-fat counterparts--a compensation for their relative lack of tastiness. Read nutrition labels carefully; that low-fat yogurt or granola bar might be loaded up with fructose or sodium. While you're at it, get to know your fats; they're not all bad for you.
