Chocolate Place Cards
Forgo the usual paper place cards and make these charming seat assignment cards instead. In a double boiler or a metal bowl set over barely simmering water, melt ¼ to ½ cup of chopped dark or milk chocolate. Chocolate Place Cards
Forgo the usual paper place cards and make these charming seat assignment cards instead. In a double boiler or a metal bowl set over barely simmering water, melt ¼ to ½ cup of chopped dark or milk chocolate. Let the chocolate cool slightly, then carefully pour it into a plastic pastry bag. Cut a very small opening in the tip of the bag and gently squeeze out the chocolate to write the names of your guests onto halved bars of white or milk chocolate, or small whole chocolate bars. (Select contrasting colors of chocolate so the names are easily visible.) To make these place cards take-home gifts, stash the chocolate name tags in clear cellophane bags and secure with a decorative ribbon. Chocolate place cards can be stored, in an airtight container at room temperature, up to 1 month. less
