This is Denmark's Olympic tennis star Caroline Wozniacki in her underpants, or rather a product sample from the line she gets 15 percent royalties for promoting. Male-targeted sports sites featured her campaign with headlines that grinned like dirty old men, but the sales pitch may not have worked on female consumers. A new study published in the
Journal of Brand Strategy found that female Olympians in hyper-sexualized ads turned off a majority of consumers, largely women.
