Animal activists then tried to explain why she needs to cool it. For starters, elephants don't give a s---about celebrities. Also they don't love getting tasered and hauled by their noses into a crowded room of drunk people. Activists at PETA claimed the company that provided the living entertainment "trains its elephants with bullhooks and electric shock prods ." In an open letter to Richie, they added: "We're writing to her privately to respectfully ask her to keep exotic animals off her guest lists for future celebrations." less
