Our own mortality is not
a topic that many of us are willing to talk freely about. The
thought of the discussion of buying life insurance
can make people uncomfortable. The thought of actually having to
use it one day is consciously avoidable. Most of us have
known… Read More »- Let’s talk: Comment (520) | Blog

Last year I completed the painting, above,
of my deceased grandmother. It was a gift for my grandmother's
daughter, my mother. While I was painting, I kept thinking what a
remarkable woman my grandmother was and what wonderful traditional
values she imparted, by example. Her own mother died when… Read More »- Let’s talk: Comment (237) | Blog

It's a big week for Sarah Palin.
Four months after her early departure as Alaska's governor, a year after the end of her vice presidential bid as John McCain's running mate for the White House, and six months after signing a book deal with Harper Collins, Palin's book is out. It's perhaps even more interesting for Megan Fox's handlers, who allowed their client to participate in an article where she comes across, more often than not, as bratty, ungrateful, and utterly contrived.

A very old television show features a husband and wife taking a stroll along the beach.
Out of nowhere a beautiful young woman darts past them wearing a very skimpy bathing suit. The husband smiles and stares at her bottom as it disappears into the ocean. When he turns towards his wife she…
