My tendency is to buy one pair of sunglasses and wear them daily for several years straight, or until I've dropped them so many times that the lenses are scratched to the point where I can barely see through them anymore. Most recently I had a pair of gold-rimmed Ray-Ban aviators, which I loved and wore religiously for the last couple of years even though they were constantly slipping down
