&lt;p&gt;Lately there has been lots of feathered activity in the
vegetable garden -- especially around the giant sunflowers, whose
big heads are drooping and heavy, full of ripening seeds. I
harvested some of them and toasted them up -- pretty yummy -- but a
lot of work for very little return. I decided...&lt;/p&gt;
