It's gift-giving season and instead of throwing yourself into
the mosh-pit that is the shopping mall, discover a fantastic

everything."

Strategies for Creating a Written Record of Life with the Little Ones

As any parent of a preschooler knows, there is plenty of journal
material at hand. Our kids do something funny every day. They do
something touching or strange or beautiful every day. They do
something we want to remember every single day. And as much as we
love to snap photos, no set of images can possible capture all of
that. So how to get some of those moments down?

Four ideas to keep track of time's passing

We are committed to our resolutions to be wiser, calmer, even
Savvy-er parents. We are committed to taking stock and keeping
track in the warmest, lightest-hearted way we can find. We are
committed to enjoying the journey of life with our little ones.
Sure, sometimes all we want to do is clutch them close (and yes,
sometimes we daydream about whether we'd be able to stuff them
into a Baby Bjorn again just for the privilege of holding them so
tightly). And sometimes we wish we could fast-forward to teenage
years just for the weekend sleeping in. But more times, we delight
in their growth and changes and steps (and regressions), and we
wish to celebrate them for who they are at this very moment.

Engrave Your Moleskine

[Ed. note: I really love this. It makes me want to use a compass again. What's more fun than perfect circles? Plus there's the personalization factor, which means the design possibilities are truly endless.]

Portland artist Joe Mansfield came up with a unique way to personalize your moleskine. He laser engraves (etches) your art/photo's right on to them or select an artist-designed one, already etched and available in his shop by artists such as Cole Gerst, Dan Funderburgh and Hello Karpa.
