‘Tis the season to be merry and entertain, but before you
send out the invites and deck the halls, check your food list
twice. If any of these goodies show up, you may
want to rethink the menu…

I love fall—and all the heartier food that comes with it.
What I don’t love is all the fat and calories, and neither do my
jeans. With these easy substitutions, I can still have my macaroni
and cheese, mashed potatoes, and french fries and fit into my
clothes too. Here’s how a few…

When I sat down to interview Annette Leeds about her new
cookbook "Hey! You Got Balls, I immediately knew this was not
going to be your ordinary conversation about cooking. Who Annette
Leeds is as a person, celebrity chef, actress-writer,
mother…

I’ve been known to watch Bobby Flay’s Throwdown on
occassion, mostly because few things delight me more than seeing
fancy pants-trained Bobby beat down by little old ladies and their
berry pies. It’s divine justice, it’s goodness prevailing, and it
is the same principle…

align="left" height="300" width="300">It’s tradition in my house to
take in as much football as possible over the Thanksgiving holiday
weekend. To sustain us through all that yelling and exhausting
television watching I am going to make one of our favorite game-day
foods—meatballs—for my husband (a meatball connoisseur) and our
football-loving friends. These Neapolitan Meatballs are always a
hit and no one realizes they are healthy!

One of my passion's is cooking and baking, so I thought it might
be fun to share some of our favorite recipes. This first one
is far from homemade (which I usually prefer) but it's always a hit
when entertaining. My friends and family always request
for me to make it, as...

Spaghetti with Meat Sauce

Spaghetti has always been one of my favorite dishes. It's easy to make, and provides a delicious, filling meal. Everyone prefers their spaghetti sauce differently. Some like it to be just a tomato sauce, while others prefer large meatballs scattered throughout. Personally, I like my meat sauce somewhere in the middle. I love having lots of cooked ground beef mixed into the sauce, so you get chunks of meat in every bite.

This recipe is my grandmother's recipe, and is the recipe I have grown up with. With six kids, my grandmother sure knew how to cook a great meal... I wouldn't change a thing.

You can take the girl out to sushi
(and she will be so grateful and love you until the end of time,
because she sure likes sushi) but you can't take the love of trashy
Americana out of the girl. You know: your cheetos, your mac and cheese, your green bean casserole, your fast and disgustingly delicious food.
