Today I seem to have run into a few Finnish weavers. Annikki Marttila owns and operates Annikki's Weaving Studio. She's a Finnish folk artist living in the U.S. who combines the traditional scandinavian styles she learned in her youth with her own designs. Many of her rugs are created from recycled materials; her denim rugs, made from recycled blue jeans, are especially popular. (I especially like this table runner above). finnishweaver.etsy.com.
