      <title>week 6: trouble in advancing</title>

      <description>I seem to be having a little difficulty in advancing in all aspects
of my life right now. My scale is stuck on one solitary number:
203.5. I weighed a 1 lb. bar on this cute little scale, and it told
me that the damned thing was 4.5 lbs. This made me very angry,
because I now know that I am 200 lbs…</description>

I&amp;#39;ve basically weighed the same since I hit puberty. As you may
know from my &lt;strong&gt;&lt;a rel="nofollow" href=
"http://www.self.com/fitness/blogs/freshfitnesstips/2009/11/the-selfiest-new-water-bottle.html?mbid=synd_yshine_fit"&gt;
introductory blog&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/strong&gt; (hooray!), it wasn&amp;#39;t until this
past year that I really dug my teeth into fitness. One day, after
about a month of weight training, I stepped on the scale and stared
down at the number--surely I must have lost weight; I looked so
much thinner! Nope. I had &lt;em&gt;gained&lt;/em&gt; weight. 7 pounds of
weight! Suddenly, my newfound confidence flew out the window. I
knew that I wasn&amp;#39;t fat, and knew that I had gained weight
because of muscle gain, but I instantly became fixated on my
weight.</description>

smartest travel accessories we&amp;#39;ve seen lately: the Balanzza
Digital Luggage Scale. As you probably know, airlines haven&amp;#39;t
just cut back on the peanuts and in-flight blankets—they&amp;#39;re now
charging for, well, LUGGAGE. As if the $15 fee for your checked bag
wasn&amp;#39;t bad enough, the penalties skyrocket if your bag is
deemed too heavy (usually 50 lbs or more).</description>
