Scarlett Johansson is single again. US Weekly reports that "The Avengers" star has given her boyfriend of less than a year, Nate Naylor, his walking papers. Recently, the star caused a stir at the Democratic National Convention when her photo was snapped while holding the hand of Jared Leto, not her current, but a former boyfriend.
Johansson has earned countless awards, including a star on Hollywood's Walk of Fame, but so far hasn't found much success with love. As a busy advocate for women and a hardworking actress, it's understandable that juggling a romance would be difficult.
In 2008, Johansson tied the knot with "Just Friends" star Ryan Reynolds. The couple divorced just two years later. According to the Daily Mail, Scarlett Johansson says, "I'm a big believer that when something feels right, you should do it," referring to her marriage with Reynolds. She says she wasn't prepared to "do the work" the relationship required. Lesson learned from this relationship? Be willing to "do the work."
When Johansson (then 26) paired up with Sean Penn, 50, many celeb-followers scratched their heads. Still, the couple made no secret of their oddly paired romance. The coupling lasted for four months but included dinner at the White House, a vacation in Cabo San Lucas and many high profile outings. People reports that details are skimpy about the Johansson-Penn breakup but age has to be a factor. Love lesson learned? Dating a man twice your age is more difficult than it seems.
What about the guy who keeps popping up, Jared Leto? Leto is closer to her own age and is a fellow actor, unlike Nate Naylor. While they are not "officially" together, you can't help but wonder if he's not the one. Love lesson to Scarlett: the guy you keep coming back to is the one you should keep!
