courtesy of Revlon Emma Stone is hanging around New York City (literally) this month, shooting scenes for her upcoming film The Amazing Spider-Man 2. We caught up with the blonde (but not for long!) beauty and face of Revlon for a quick game of 20 questions.
What was your first beauty product? "Lip Smackers. The Dr Pepper flavor."
What was your favorite product back in high school? "I used a fair amount of mascara and black eye shadow. Like, a lot of black eye shadow."
What's the best beauty advice you've received from a makeup artist? "I'm really into skin care, so I learned a lot about that from makeup artists. It's interesting to me because I have skin issues. And eyebrow issues. I had never shaded in my eyebrows. See, you do it, too! Strong brows."
What's your beauty essential? "Moisturizer."

Do you have a favorite? "Josie Maran Argan Oil. I love it because I'm allergic to everything. Or olive oil. I have a big bottle of olive oil on my sink. It makes my skin smell like focaccia."
What's the first product you put on in the morning and the last you put on at night? "Argan oil. Truly. I put it on all throughout the day, too."
Have you ever been nervous about a red-carpet look? "I haven't ever felt anxiety about what I was doing. I work with the same people for almost everything, and we do some fun stuff."
What has been your favorite look so far? "There was a Spider-Man premiere in Paris where I had a really dark, dark lip. I loved that."
What's your go-to red-carpet look? "You'd have to ask Rachel [Goodwin] and Mara [Roszak] what they do. I'm just like, 'Do whatever you want!'"
Is there a hair color you'd never try? "Hmm. Maybe green? I don't know if I'd look good in green."
Hair color you're most comfortable with? "Probably red. I feel most myself with red hair. I'm excited for that again."

Oh, so we can expect red from you soon? "I hope so. Yeah, this [blonde] is Gwen. I'm sure we'll be back to red. We'll be done filming in the next couple months."
Any beauty regrets? "Um, yes. Acrylic nails for a time--I loved it. So sexy. And spray tans. Lots of that. And for many years I didn't wash my makeup off at night. And that's pretty gross."
Any off-label beauty uses? "I use emu oil on my elbows and as a moisturizer. Again, I'm allergic to a lot of stuff."
Do you have a beauty indulgence? "I love taking baths. I have some rose powder from Sabon that is really great."
What was the best part of doing the animated film The Croods? "That I didn't have to reign in my cartoonishness. You get to go as big as you want, which is fine by me."
Was it weird not going into hair and makeup? "No, it was great. I loved it."
Do you have a signature sent? "Serge Lutens in Paris. Very fancy. I'm wearing A La Nuit, which is basically just jasmine."
Do you have a favorite Revlon product? "I like when they send the Lash Potion mascara, that's really fun. And the lip crayon, Just Kissable, is really, really great."
Is there a beauty product you can't live without? "I could live without any beauty product, but I like mascara a lot."
