The Kardashians Are Successful Because of Something Specific They Do with Their Makeup, According to Science

First, this picture of the sisters in their signature smoky eye makeup is from just a year ago, but it seems like ages, doesn't it? So much has happened and their looks have changed so much! I mean, Kim is blond now.

Anyway, on to the study. People were asked to rate the same female faces with minimal, natural makeup, a moderate, more professional-looking style, and a glamorous look with smoky eyes and nude lips (a lot like the Kardashians in the picture above). And while the softer looks were seen as more trushworthy, the glamorous one was seen as more powerful and confident. And it's not hard to think that we might be interested in powerful, confident people, even if we're not sure we want to be their bestie.

It's a bit of a leap, maybe. But the the idea struck me that they do wear a lot of makeup, and it might be a factor in why we're so interested in them.

Think I might be on to something here?
