I'm not too picky when it comes to fragrances. Floral? Love it. Herb-y? Bring it on. But while I like a good spicy tuna roll just as much as the next gal, I don't think I'll be spritzing on the new scent from perfume house Demeter Fragrance: Sushi Cologne.
Yes, these are the people that brought us "Dirt" cologne and "Crayon" Eau de Toilette. But their latest, fishiest fragrance gets the prize for strangest.
The company says this cologne combines "the fresh scent of just-cooked sticky rice and straight-from-the-seaside seaweed, laced with hints of ginger and lemon essences."
Alright, so I'm not going to actually smell like my beloved spicy tuna. But I still don't think spritzing the scent of "just-cooked sticky rice" is the way to make myself more "delectable," as the perfumer suggests.
What do you think? Would you want to smell like sushi for $39.50 per bottle -- or would you rather drop that cash on an amazing sushi dinner?
