I saw someone on here claim that "brioche" is an Italian word for "croissant" lol. For someone who claims to know the difference between a "panino" and "panini" it's pretty surprising you don't know that "brioche" is ACTUALLY french, and is more like an egg bread. The "croissant" that you're referring to is called a "cornetto" some people in the North of Italy may refer to it as "brioche" but it is FRENCH in origin. Thanks and have a lovely day :D

This was one sad list of sandwiches...with prosciutto done to death. And only two of them fit for vegetarians (barely). Where's the imagination in all this? There is so much variety in vegetables and breads and other toppings!

Hey Raquel G: May I suggest you get it right...Fontina is a type of cheese...and Rosemary Focaccia is perfect bread..Panini is two or more sandwiches...a panino is just one lone sandwich. Buon appetito!!

Banana and peanut-butter sandwiches are good. Butter and sugar sandwiches are yummy too. I'll send you the recipes if you like!

Next they'll do "the worst summer sandwiches" and they will all be there except the tomato sandwich, which, by the way, I have made before only because I had no meat in the fridge, gimme oscar mayer baloney, american cheese, mayo on wonder bread with a slice of tomato, almost brings me to tears.

I'm 69 years old and have been eating tomatoe sandwichs for about 65 of those. This is nothing new to born in the country folks. In fact I had one today.

You should try my favorite sandwich:
Fill a baguette bread drizzled with olive oil and oregano flakes, stuffed with salami (Milano style, preferably), fresh tomato slices and lattuce. Enough, and it can be eaten at room temperature or heated. A good fruity WHITE wine should be the ideal companion, better than an red one.

Nothing new about the tomato sandwich. I am fifty something and I have been eating them since I was a kid. I prefer mine with butter instead of mayo. Husband prefers mayo. Fresh from the garden tomatoes taste the best. Store ones not as good. Alot of time the store ones lack flavor.

Does anyone remember "cannibal" sandwiches? Raw hamburger, Lawreys' salt, And Hellmans' mayo on Pepperidge Farm white?. Can't get ground beef that's clean anymore.

i think they are best on fresh white bread when it sticks to the roof of your mouth and salad dressing, salt and pepper and ice cold milk. yum!!!

Hello...the secret is the tomatoes are home grown. Only good in the summer with fresh tomatoes out of the garden. In the south use either Dukes or Blue Plate mayo. If you haven't tried it or live in the city and have no idea how to plant a garden much less grow a tomato then don't knock it.

3 out of ten with prosciutto, really? Not a very good sampling of the meats available. While prosciutto can have its place. How many people can find it at their local grocery? The author needs to travel a little more.
