Chocolate and Peppermint Oreo Cookies- What's better than your favorite childhood treat covered in chocolate and sprinkled with peppermint candy? Ingredients: 16 or more Chocolate or Vanilla Sandwich Cookies (you can customize this recipe custom for each person) Wax paper Candi*Quick Candy Coating (or candy melts from a craft store) Microwave proof bowls Dipping fork (found at most craft stores) Peppermint Candies or Candy Cannes, crushed 1. Take the cookies out of the package. Place wax paper out on the counter. 2. Melt the molding chocolate per manufacturers instructions. Meanwhile, crush some peppermint candies or candy canes in a bag and place in a separate bowl. 3. Place the sandwich cookie in the bowl of chocolate so that one side is submerged lightly and then using a dipping fork, flip the cookie over. 4. Slide the dipping fork under the cookie and gently shake off the excess chocolate. 5. Place the cookie on the wax paper and immediately drop some peppermint candy on the top of the cookies. Allow to dry for a minimum of 15 minutes. 6. Package and label. Tips: Melt only 1/3 of the candy coting at a time as the cookies may leave crumbs and then you can use a fresh bowl for each 1/3 and not have a thick layer of crumbs on other cookies.
