    Apple Cider Pumpkin Pie Smoothie
    This delicious apple cider pumpkin smoothie the perfect refresher on warm fall days. Naturally sweetened with cider it is like pumpkin pie in a glass.
    Make an apple cider pumpkin smoothie
    Ingredients:
    2/3 cup canned pumpkin, unsweetened
    1 cup apple cider (not apple juice)
    1/4 tsp pumpkin pie spice (optional spice add-in: cayenne for spiciness)
    1 1/4 cups frozen banana slices
    1/4 cup soy creamer - Sub Options: 1/4 cup full fat coconut milk OR sub with 1/3 cup vanilla soy yogurt for an even healthier smoothie
    1/4 cup ice
    Directions:
    Blend. Add whipped topping, Garnish with crushed gingersnaps. Serve!

    Delicious apple cider from our local cider mill is one of my favorite things about fall. I love how it is the one true drink that actually tastes like apples without any imitation flavors or colors. Over the years I've come to love using apple cider in my favorite beverages and baked goods. I know nobody can deny just how delicious an apple cider donut can be. We sure love them!       My after-school snack was a sacred ritual. I sat on the carpet in my parents' bedroom at a low table, the television turned to "I Dream of Jeannie," and ate a peanut butter and honey sandwich cut into neat squares. I wasn't fussy about crusts. I just loved the sticky pairing of creamy peanut butter with syrupy golden sweetness drizzled from a honey bear in diagonals across the soft white bread. Nothing else--save for maybe apples and peanut butter in a pinch--could have made for as sweet an
