    Cinnamon Sugar Bacon Twist
    This takes the cinnamon twist to a new and crazy level. Why have I never thought to combine the earthiness of cinnamon with the richness of bacon, then add some sugar to sweeten the deal?
    Make cinnamon sugar bacon twists
    Ingredients:
    1 lb. bacon
    1/2 cup packed brown sugar
    2 tsp. cinnamon

    Directions:
    Preheat the oven to 350F. Cut each bacon strip in half crosswise. In a small bowl, stir together the brown sugar and cinnamon. Dip bacon strips in sugar mixture; twist. Place on a parchment-lined rimmed baking sheet and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until crisp. Serve warm. Serves 6. less

      My after-school snack was a sacred ritual. I sat on the carpet in my parents' bedroom at a low table, the television turned to "I Dream of Jeannie," and ate a peanut butter and honey sandwich cut into neat squares. I wasn't fussy about crusts. I just loved the sticky pairing of creamy peanut butter with syrupy golden sweetness drizzled from a honey bear in diagonals across the soft white bread. Nothing else--save for maybe apples and peanut butter in a pinch--could have made for as sweet an
