Image via bigbirdz/FlickrImage via bigbirdz/FlickrWhile a crisp apple with gooey caramel is perfection all on its own, these fall goodies go beyond that to establish wonderful new taste combinations. You may not find these at local street fairs and supermarkets, but they're the perfect activity for a brisk weekend afternoon.

My favorite is caramel, chocolate, and gummy bears. They used to sell them on fisherman's wharf in Monterey. I wonder if they still do....

Ridiculous! Plain ol' caramel is the best. Now they have awesome caramel apple dip, which is less messy and all the way good.

Best Caramel apple I ever had was from Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory. Their version of the Apple Pie apple was first the caramel, then white chocolate and then the cinnamon sugar. Holy Mother of God, it's just so wrong and yet so sinfully right! Damn you sugar intolerance! Damn you!
