It's one of the most iconic warm weather drinks -- you know summer (or your tropical vacation) has officially started when you've got a daiquiri in hand. The historic drink is delicious, whether it's of the frozen strawberry variety, or you've mixed rum, lime juice and sugar in a martini glass. It definitely deserves it's own national day of recognition, which happens to be today, July 19th!

Celebrate by making this delicious daiquiri cocktail from Brugal Rum for you and a friend later today:

    Daikiri Brugal

    1½ oz. Brugal Añejo Rum

    1 oz. Triple Sec

    ½ oz. Fresh Lime Juice

    ½ tsp. Sugar

Preparation: In a shaker with ice, combine ingredients, shake well and strain into a martini glass. Garnish with a lime slice.

Or, you can always order a frozen daiquiri at happy hour! Either way, National Daiquiri Day is definitely an occasion that's fun to celebrate.
