    Flip it Good: 7 Tasty Pancake Recipes

    Yum!Yum!We love hot breakfasts in the winter and pancakes are one of our favorites. We like them in the summer too, but in the winter they seem more essential. They are a welcome hot bite while the house warms up. We swear by them. I am always looking for interesting pancakes recipes and I found a whole bunch here on the Family Kitchen. I love the idea of healthy steel cut oat pancakes or berry streusel pancakes. My husband loved the idea of the bacon stuffed recipe (!) Here are some of the favorite new, interesting pancakes recipes we've found this winter. Time to cook up a stack, or two!

    Bacon Stuffed Pancakes
    Bacon stuffed pancakes cleverly combine two breakfast courses into one main meal!

    Ingredients:
    12 pieces of thick sliced brown sugar bacon
    Bisquick Pancake Mix {+ ingredients to make enough for 12 pancakes}
    unsalted butter
    pure maple syrup

    Directions:

    Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Place bacon slices onto a rimmed baking sheet and bake until crispy. Transfer bacon to a plate lined with kitchen towels to absorb excess fat.

    WHILE bacon is cooking mix pancake batter according to package directions.

    When bacon is finished cooking, spray a griddle pan with cooking spray. Heat over medium-high heat.

    Place a piece of bacon in the center of pan. Pour 1/4 cup of pancake batter on top of bacon. Cook approximately 2-3 minutes on each side. Continue until all pancakes are done.

    Top with butter and syrup.

      My after-school snack was a sacred ritual. I sat on the carpet in my parents' bedroom at a low table, the television turned to "I Dream of Jeannie," and ate a peanut butter and honey sandwich cut into neat squares. I wasn't fussy about crusts. I just loved the sticky pairing of creamy peanut butter with syrupy golden sweetness drizzled from a honey bear in diagonals across the soft white bread. Nothing else--save for maybe apples and peanut butter in a pinch--could have made for as sweet an
