    Don't judge a book by its cover-and don't judge a donut by its sugary glaze. In a lower-calorie contest in which we paired various chain-food favorites against each other, the donut was a surprise winner-along with the Big Mac and various other items most would think were doomed to fail. Of course we're not suggesting you go out and gorge on the foods that were less fattening, as many still came packed with high fat, sugar and sodium contents. But a calorie is a calorie.
