first one right out of the gate is wrong.. the filling for peanut butter cups is peanut butter and confectionery sugar - and who would EVER put shortening in candy? YUCK!

My neighbor gave me two recipes for caramels - one is plain and one uses sea salt. They are to die for, but alas I wait until Christmas each year to get some. Seems like a lot of work.

No recipe, no pictures of homemade candy. What a stupid waste of time.

I made 13 dozen one year for Christmas...wow, that was time consuming...but everyone loved them so much. The next year, I just made a few Huge cups. So much easier and everyone liked the idea of just cutting off a piece.

I have the original PB cup recipe and it does not look like this one. You mix powdered sugar in with the PB. And I would never use dark chocolate, that is something Reeses has come up with in the lst few years and it is not the best in my book. I have made the PB cups from the recipe that I have and it is not as easy as it sounds.

I make some of the best pralines in the South though I live in Chicago. I rarely ever make them these days since I'm fat enough. LOL!

I'm with Patrick--if you ever had the real peanut butter cups/balls, made with the real recipe, you'd drop these like a bad habit. Just saying.

i made the peanut butter cups! instead of chocolate bars, i did chocolate chips. I just dumped the whole bag of Nestle chocolate chips! Here's a tip: to get the top chocolate layer smooth, put a metal spoon under hot water, then sperad it on the chocolate!
