Like the starting production of sal seed oil and ricebran oils and soya seed oils a few decades back the Olive oil that is gaining entry into india as cooking material may be experimented, as it is being imported from France now for cooking which before it was imported only as for massage etc, as per an article by en enterpreneur Mr Dalmia in the news paper.
But the processing of theOlive seed may also depend upon the bye product and its consumption in India or for export as well its utility as food for animals or for extraction ofedibkle protiens etc, for which a survey is very important.
As for an example the availability of this oil at present at Delhi market is much cheaper and at the same time at Agra and like cities it is very costly, for which Mr Dalmia in his openion it may be due to marketing of branded and unbranded may be responsible.
