Super-simple dinners in 3 steps or less

My husband, Russ, likes to make recipes that have at least 4,000 ingredients and take a minimum of 8 hours to cook. OK, so that's a slight exaggeration. But only slight. He does prefer recipes that are more of a production.

I'm not sure what those of you who consider this complicated normally cook. I think it sounds delicious and very simple for a quick weeknight meal. And It is stir fried, Kanikz, and you could do it with half the oil if you wanted.

Throwing three steps together into one step and then repeating does not constitute a three step dinner, sorry. I agree with Nelly too, lots of ingredients for a "simple" dinner - sticking to beef stroganoff tonight!

How is that so simple? I like the throw together dinners on this list sometimes.

This is a pretty good recipe. I'd suggest instead of just serving it as is that you make wraps of this mixture in rice paper wrappers which have been quickly dipped in warm water. That's the way we used to have this in Vietnam.

This is the biggest bunch of junk I've seen lately. It reminds me of the STUPID shows that have "makeovers" on them---this is Jill before, and this is Jill after.......and the outfit on the left cost 319.00, but we made Jill over, almost exactly the same for only 159.00..........who in the hell can spend 159.00 on one outfit??? You want to make something simple for dinner that you can actually AFFORD? I'm telling ya, you gotta get real. Get a bottle of salad dressing(ranch, or what ever you like), then get a bag of shrimp(already cooked), and some pasta. Go the the dollar store and get some cheap bacon bits. Dang, just put this together with some cheese and crackers. You are gonna spend about 1.50 on the dressing, 5.00 on the shrimp, 1.25 on the pasta, and .50 on the bacon bits. It takes about 15 mins, and while that pasta is cooking, have some of that 9.97 wine. (a full box)..........wake up working folks, I should have my own show so I could show everyone how to REALLY save some time and a lot of $$$

jojoba, your dinner sounds extremely fattening, and where are the veggies? And whats with all the processed foods? No, you should not have your own show.

Upon reading this forum, I got really quite interested as I learned a lot about possible combinations in food presentation and from all the other postings in here. I have a lot of recipes that I have collected all these years and just imagine how much of the kitchen counterpart has been occupied by recipe boxes.I had to organize all the recipes in my program. Good thing that i had that program so it will be easier for me to know what ingredients I may have in the cupboard and in the ref too.
