Naked "Green Machine" is amazing! If only it wasn't $3.49 for one bottle. Ugh, what a world we live in.

organic (all from Trader Joes)-plain nonfat greek yogurt, hemp protein powder, a few drizzles of Agave nectar, frozen fruit, & whole grain milky drink mix or soymilk-basically whatever you like to make it creamy with, done!

I wouldn't buy Naked Juice. I have never had an allergic reaction to any food, but had an extreme one to a Naked Juice smoothie that nearly landed me in the hospital. When I asked what was in their "natural flavorings" so I could narrow down what I am allergic to, they refused to tell me. So now I'm telling everyone: DON'T BUY NAKED JUICE!

I have the same bottle of Kefir in my fridge right now. It is great tasting and very good for you, but it is high in sugar. Not a good thing to be giving kids for breakfast.

The best smoothies I've ever tasted are not available in stores, but can be made at home much cheaper. Luscious Chocolate Smoothies: An Irresistible Collection of Healthy Cocoa Delights by Gabriel Constans is my favorite.

HOW MUCH SUGAR IN THESE DRINKS ?? You can lose the health benefit when the amount of sugar in the Smoothie is more than a full sugar soft drink..

Jamba Juice is, in my opinion, a smoothie brand without equal. They strive to create healthy food that tastes good, and for that, they earn my utmost respect.
If I had the money, I would buy loads of those smoothie kits. They would make great after-workout drinks.
To reduce the amount of sugar in a do-it-yourself smoothie, one can use a reduced-sugar juice, or tea. Plus, a lot of sugar in Jamba's smoothies comes from real fruit and yogurt. Most of these other brands have added sugar - in worst cases, in the form of high fructose corn syrup. No matter what the smoothie, one should look at the ingredients list. If added sugar is one of the first three ingredients, skip it.

I don't know about you , but I can take a variety of tastes. Kafir, really, I don't think can be taken by kids. It tastes terrible. So, if it tastes terrible to me, I can really believe that kids will be inclined to throw the bottle at someone. Kafir did not do its homework.

Peel and freeze ripe bananas. Blend in blender with orange juice and other frozen fruit. ex. mango, pineapple, strawberry. Bananas make it sweet so no need for sugar. Add plain yogurt for smoother taste.

Healthy Fake Shake. Frozen bananas, milk, chocolate quik mix. Blend in blender. Kids will think it's a chocolate shake!

This is the worst article I've read in a while. It is not even ten sentences long.
