    Despite hoopla to the contrary, Thanksgiving isn't really about the turkey. It's also not about finding a parking space at the mall, religion, whether or not you've found the love of your life, or anything else that might send you into a sweaty panic. It's just a day where we get to enjoy our family and friends (until someone, inevitably, blows it), carb-load, and somewhere in there, once the kitchen's a wreck and our top button's undone, be thankful.       My after-school snack was a sacred ritual.
