    11. Osteria Mozza, Los Angeles, CA-
Perhaps the buzziest-and busiest-restaurant to hit Los Angeles in the past decade, chef Nancy Silverton's Osteria Mozza serves some of the best pizza in the city. Part of the Mario Batali-Joe Bastianich empire, its sleek dining room is also a celebrity den: Joaquin Phoenix, Courteney Cox and Jeffrey Katzenberg have all been spotted here.

According to the reservationist: "We take calls from 9:30 a.m. until 11:00 p.m. every day, and during that time we receive upwards of 750 calls. Reservations for the 29 tables are taken one month in advance to the numerical date. We also have 29 bar stools for walk-ins; the full menu is offered there, and reservations are never taken."
