My Obsession is Skin Care

I have an obsession with skin care products. The picture does not do my issue justice. It simply shows what I have at any given moment; it's my back-up for the times when I run out of my main supply (which has recently happened). The items pictured include Murad, Bioelements, Cindy Crawford's Meaningful Beauty (my fave three), Neutr

ogena, Dove, Bath and Body Works body scrubs, sun block with zinc and a convenience store brand lip exfoliant. The number one item missing that I am going crazy without is a prescription of Retin-A which I find (even after all these years) is the number one product that can help keep acne flare-ups at bay.

It is embarrassing how much money I am willing to fork out for a skin care product that promises to hold back the hands of time. Yes, my obsession has caused me to be taken for a fool a few times, but it has also provided me a list of product lines that definitely get the job done and deliver more than just promises.

The top three are Murad, Meaningful Beauty and Bioelements. I discovered Murad over ten years ago when I was in my early twenty's and searching for a product that would take care of fine lines and wrinkles (my philosophy is it is never too early……or too late for that matter). The nearest salon sold Murad and I have been hooked ever since. Not only did I love the way it made my skin look but it also helped with acne breakouts and scarring (ba ba bonus). I have yet to find a Murad product that disappoints me; the line has never let me down.

Surprisingly, Cindy Crawford's Meaningful Beauty line is fabulous. I came across it one day while watching TV. I was sucked into the infomercial (I admit it). But what a great surprise, it leaves my skin softer than ever. I will continue to purchase this line.

I was turned on to Bioelements during a facial. I really liked the feel of the product on my skin and I thought it made my skin glow. I asked the esthetician what line she uses and she told me Bioelements. I went on-line and found it. Bioelements has a terrific night cream and cleanser and I look forward to trying other items.

Although I didn't list it as one of my favorites, Bath and Body Works body polishes and scrubs are great. I always have at least two, one that has oil and one that doesn't (oil is for the areas that are not prone to break-outs).

Everything else pictured is 'fill in' until I can replace it with something from one of my fave three product lines. But you should know that I wouldn't have shown an item I am unhappy with, nor would I continue to use an item that I didn't like. In other words, even if the product in the picture is just 'fill in' I have been pleased with it and so it is a good product for me….and maybe you too.

I am always on the look out for great new skin care so if anyone has any suggestions....please tell me, my obsession needs feeding!
