Simple Ways to Show Love for Your Husband on Valentine's Day

If you have been married for a while, you may not care about celebrating Valentine's Day. Your kids. Your job. Your chores. They all might be overwhelming you, so taking a few extra steps to show the man you love you appreciate him might seem silly. However, before you dismiss a popular holiday as nonsense, try something new. There are simple ways to show love to your husband on Valentine's Day without making a big effort.

    1- Write a note.

On a piece of paper, tell your husband how much you love and appreciate him. Explain how good of a father he is and that he still is the only man you want in life. Then, fold the note and put it in a place that he won't miss like in his lunch bag or on the bathroom mirror. You will be surprised at how much of a delight your husband will get out of this small gesture.

    2- Express yourself.

Tell your husband how much you really love him. If you need inspiration, think of how your life would be if he were suddenly gone. Start the morning off with a few kinds words and then follow them up with some type of activity that will put a smile on his face.

    3- Give him space.

A simple way to show love to your husband on Valentine's Day is to give him space. Let him watch his favorite sport without any sideline talk. Don't nag him about undone chores. Keep quiet about the amount of time he spends in the garage. By allowing to blow of a little steam with any fuss, you will be giving your husband the kind of gift he secretly dreams of.

    4- Be cooperative.

If you're like most women, you probably run your household. Your husband is a 'yes man' with little cooperation from you. On February 14th, turn the tables on him. Agree with some of his ideas (even a few of the stupid ones). Allow him to make a few of the decisions you and give him a chance to feel like the king of your castle.

    5- Initiate a truce.

Have you and your husband been fighting like cat and dogs lately? Initiate a truce on Valentine's Day. Forgive and forget the past. Promise not to bring up his prior mistakes. Offer him the kind of pass a loving wife does for the man she's pledged to stay with until death 'do us part.'

    6- Do a cheap activity.

A big reason why men hate cupid is because he's so expensive. A simple way to show love to your spouse on Valentine's Day is to do a cheap, fun activity. Don't hold your minimum-wage making spouse to the standards of a Donald Trump. Go out for a drive by yourselves and share an ice-cream sundae. Take a walk in the park and reminisce about good times. In other words, take some of the pressure off your mate and be realistic about what he really can do for you on Valentine's Day.

Rethinking one of the most popular holidays of the year? Be sweet to your husband on Valentine's Day. Make it a special time of the year for him too.
