I have gone on the Mr. Goodbar diet. I subsist only on chocolate and peanut Mr. Goodbars and walk everywhere. I am now morbidly obese but I have the calf muscles of an Olympian.

Natural foods do not necessarily taste bad and when you eat them they leave you feeling refreshed, not sickly. Try it for just one day and you'll see the difference. this is the kind of food we're designed to eat.

Why do people here think these suggestions sound plain and boring or gross? I think these sound brilliant! Those cheese wedges come in different flavors and are delicious. Peanut butter and apples is a favorite in our family. We still eat chips for snack and sometimes (gasp) milk and cookies. However, we don't need those everyday or even every week. Having different ideas for healthy snacks is always a help!

As far as the avocado goes, I don't use bell peppers. What I do is blend tomatoes, one small hot chili pepper, some cilantro and onions. I smash the avocado and poor the mixture in. Also instead of chips I use celery which gives you that crunch. You can use spices instead of salt to flavor it.

I take a vanilla Greek yogurt, add a scoop of chocolate-flavored protein powder, a tsp. of Hershey's chocolate and 2 tsp. cream. 23 grams protein, filling, takes awhile to eat, nummy, and less than 300 calories.

These snacks seem tasty, but not nearly enough! One cracker? That wouldn't satisfy me for a half hour, let alone for a few hours until dinner time.

I think all of these sound really good. Some people commented that they all tasted like cardboard...bell pepper and guaq...falvor yes, carboard NO. Also-reduced fat Cheese Its with some fat free cream cheese! YUMMY.

Dont buy this crap. Eat what you want....ANYTHING AT ALL. Number 1 important thing is portion control and workout/fitness.

Snacking is why America is fat.

Americans are an odd lot. Extremes seem to be your only option. You either stay in the gym or get fat as a pig. You are absolutely obsessed with weight, exercise, eating, etc., but you never seem to enjoy any of it.

The rest of the world rarely snacks, doesn't go to the gym, doesn't eat typical American fast-food on a regular basis. You yanks should be able to figure this out by now. What seems to be the problem? You are over thinking it I imagine.

Is everyone reading the same article here? How do these snacks sound disgusting? And how do they look plain, colorless and boring? This is fresh, whole food for the most part and I have eaten most of it myself. It is really delicious! The people who say it looks gross and disgusting must eat Little Debbie snacks, chips and frozen crap. Now that's disgusting. If you actually think that stuff is tasty, then you have ruined your pallet. That is not good food and good eating.

People are saying these snacks are all bland and have no flavor? Um.. have any of you ever eaten pistachios or bell peppers or cheese? All of this stuff has flavor.. it's just not fried and covered in salt or sugar. I've never eaten a bland bell pepper or pear in my lifetime.

Nuts are very much involved with the Bunny Bar, and all the products by 18 rabbits. How irresponsible to mention something is safe for a nut allergy without it being true! All the products are labled to be manufactured in a facility the processes peanuts and treanuts, so traces o fnuts may be present in these products. Please clarify that! If you or anyone you love has ever had a reaction to a nut allergy and gone into anaphylactic shock, you might understand the importance of this.

You neglect to mention that these snacks WOULD be healthy if ORGANIC. Non-organically grown strawberries, for instance are so full of carcinogenic pesticides that the farmers who grow them won't eat them!

As I'm reading through this, I'm seeing quite a few comments about " 1/4 cup, 1 TBSP, that's it?! " As someone who is trying to lose weight.. I have to, doc's orders!! I have to have a hip replacement and he won't do it until I lose 50-75 lbs. I'm down 10lbs only 65 more to go! lol Anyhow that's not the point here.. my point is being " healthy " is portion control!! As someone who's fat and loves food that I will not lie about and it sucks, oh it sucks lol.. but I've noticed how I eat now verses how I used to eat.. for dinner I have a peice of chicken or fish ( 4 ozs ), usually grilled or baked, a potato ( medium ) with ff sour cream , ff or low fat cheese, and a vegetable.. usually fresh or frozen. ( 1/2 cup ) and I'm generally full.. I think about what I used to eat, and I think.. wow did I really NEED all that extra crap? Nope!! My dinner and 2 other meals in a nut shell generally run under 400 cal. a meal. I'm on a 1500-1700 cal diet. So by the time.. I eat 3 meals 1200 cals. That still gives me a chance to have 3 small snacks between. ( usually a fresh fruit ) So in all honesty if you're watching your portion control, eating less, but eating more frequently you're really getting more to eat with less guilt. I think the point of this article wasn't to show you that you can get a ton of food for 140 cals, but that you could get a taste for something, a small taste and it still won't effect your healthy diet.

What ever happened to eating just an apple, or strawberries, or grapes, or other fruit. Why do I need chocolate or peanut butter added?

I personally would like healthy snacks I can afford. These would be great, but aren't cheap at all. Plus, you can't get most of them in my area.
