Whether it is due to your boyfriend becoming friends with an attractive woman or his ex-girlfriend calling him out of nowhere, it is normal to become jealous in your relationship sometimes. But if your jealous feelings are becoming so bad that they're affecting your relationship and driving you crazy, you've got a problem. You need to get your jealousy in check so that you can actually have a decent relationship with your guy again. Here are three ways you can stop being a jealous girlfriend.
Talk to your guy
One of the best ways to get your jealousy in check is to just talk to your guy about it. Tell him why you have been feeling jealous lately and that you'd like him to help you work through your jealous feelings. If he knows you're at least making an effort to not be so jealous, he probably won't get too annoyed with you. Communicating with your guy can also clear up some misunderstandings.
Don't assume things
Please don't assume things. I know you know what they say about those who assume things. If a woman makes a friendly comment on his Facebook page or he goes out to lunch with a female coworker, don't just assume he's doing something wrong. Making up all of these assumptions without knowing the truth will just drive you crazy.
Keep yourself busy
Keeping yourself busy with activities and friends can help you avoid feeling jealous all the time. Distract yourself by meeting a friend for coffee or taking a cooking class. If your entire life doesn't revolve around your boyfriend, your feelings of jealousy will start to subside.
Because you can't be around your boyfriend 24/7, it's important to develop trust. It can be difficult trusting your significant other if you've been lied to or cheated on in the past, but you have to at least try. Being jealous all the time will ruin your relationship eventually.
