When it comes to packing for a weekend away, my beauty roster tends to vary depending upon the destination. A wedding calls for more makeup, whereas hiking trips mean I might pack a Paper Shower (my new obsession). A few key items, however, travel with me no matter where I'm going. Here are my five essentials.

Yes To Cucumbers On-the-Go Facial Towelettes, $2.99: Skip face wash on weekends away and slip this slim pack of gentle face wipes into your makeup bag instead. Infused with soothing green tea and aloe, these portable mini wipes are the perfect pick-me-up after a flight or long car ride.

Shiseido Urban Environment Protector, $30: Unlike other sunscreen fluids that can leave skin slick, this oil-free fluid keeps grease-prone skin in check. It also comes in a chic little pod that fits into the smallest of makeup bags, and at under 3 oz, you don't have to worry about airplane regulations.
Oribe Dry Shampoo Purse Size, $19.50: Is it just me or does vacation hair always look sort of off? For short trips, I prefer to skip washing altogether and extend the life of my normal styling with my favorite dry shampoo.

Colgate Wisp Plus Whitening, $1.99: I never pack a real toothbrush for short trips. For hotel stays, those soft little disposable brushes from housekeeping work just fine, but I've been known to survive on Wisps alone when staying with friends. Is that gross?
eos Medicated Lip Balm Sphere, $2.99: Not only is this little balm ball insanely fun to apply, but it's made with anti-bacterial properties too. Bonus: it works just as well on dry cuticles as it does on lips.
