Every year, The Heart Truth (a program of the National Institutes of Health) puts on a runway show at New York Fashion Week, enlisting the help of celebrities like Kelly Osbourne and Olympic gold medalist Gabrielle Douglas to model red designer dresses on the catwalk. More importantly, though, they are helping raise awareness for heart health by motivating other women to make positive choices to lower their risk for heart disease, and remind them that heart disease is preventable.
