New York Fashion Week, and is chugging along, and today's fashion shows showcased some stunning hair and makeup, inspirational designs, and loads of celebrities. Here are our favorite moments from Day 6:
The beauty look at Badgley Mischka
1. Hitchcock blondes at Badgley Mischka
We loved the old Hollywood styling, inspired by the likes of Tippi Hedren in "The Birds." From muted red lips to the messy chignons, this classic style cannot be topped. The secret to this makeup look: pale blue eyeliner on the bottom lid.
We saw Matt Damon and he was hot2. MATT DAMON!
We saw quite the mix of celebrities today. Katherine Heigl, Jada Pinkett Smith, Vanessa Hudgens, Selita Ebanks, Alexa Ray Joel, Christine Baranski, Olympic gymnast Aly Raisman, and Morgan Saylor (who plays the daughter on "Homeland") to name a few. But we had the ultimate sighting backstage at the Naeem Khan show. Matt Damon! OK, so he was doing an interview with E!, but he was looking straight into our eyes as we snapped this photo. What was he doing at fashion week??? Apparently a big fan of the Naeem Khan. "I've learned a little bit about fashion through him," said Damon. "It's interesting. His clothes are like an expression of him. He's really elegant and that comes out in the stuff he makes, too. It's just really wonderful. And nobody's ever made my wife look more beautiful." Aww.
Vera Wang fall 2013
3. The oversized floral separates at Vera Wang
You may know Vera Wang for her fancy wedding dresses, but there's much more to the designer. This season mixed texture, colors, patterns, and proportions were key. How gorgeous are these exaggerated flower prints in fuchsia and bright orange jacquard? There were tons of mix-and-match options and we drooled over them all.
