Celebrities who turn fame into fashion

Beyoncé wears a little black dress in her hit video "If I Were a Boy" designed by. . . herself! Check out the other surprisingly affordable celebrity fashion lines that The Thread put to the test.

So here's that little black dress that Beyoncé wears in her "If I Were a Boy" video by Dereon, the line she designs with her stylist mom, Tina. Obviously it looks great on Beyoncé but I wasn't to sure how it would feel or fit in person. I'm happy to report it's well-made and flattering. It also happens to be nicely priced at $69. It's our CLICK AND BUY special of the week. You can click on the photo to the right and scoop it up for yourself at Dereon.com.

IMPORTANT UPDATE
: Due to the popular demand of Beyonce's dress (right) by our Thread viewers, it has SOLD OUT. Here is a link to a similar dress, also designed by Beyonce.

We've got a SNEAK PEEK for you of Jessica Simpson's Spring Collection, including this this low-cut beige dress ($148) and this gauzy yellow dress with puffy sleeves ($168).

There was also a great bright orange trench ($168) I loved and lime green Peggy sundress($118). You can see the entire Sneak Peak in this episode of The Thread.

More CLICK AND BUY. Jessica's also got a bunch of well priced accessories all under $100. We love her grape-colored shades ($55) and her Delanco sandals ($89), which are surprisingly comfortable for such a high heel. Finally, the Boulevard Hobo bag ($88).

Even Lindsay Lohan's a designer now. She's got a collection of leggings called 6126, which is a referenceto the birthday of her idol Marilyn Monroe. The collection starts at $44 and goes up to $132. Some are leopard, some are textured and some feel more likepants with zippers up the sides.

And last, Kate Moss will soon bring her line of Top Shop clothing to the US when the popular low-priced European retailer opens its first US store this Spring. Until then, you can score one of her designs (right) like this Jersey Day Dress ($100) on their website. We've already tagged a ton of celebrities in Kate's designs including Cameron Diaz, Fergie, Amanda Bynes, Mariah Carey and, of course, Ms. Moss herself. Click here to see them in a special photo gallery.

Thanks for checking out The Thread. We'll be back next week from our Planet Hollywood studio in Times Square with a brand new episode.
