But “Big Miracle,” the new film starring Drew Barrymore and “The Office” hottie John Krasinski, which opens February 3rd, is the true tale of the 1988 mission to save three gray whales off Point Barrow, Alaska which made unlikely partners of the U.S. government, the Soviet Union, Greenpeace and oil-company executives.
