Katharine McPhee is living the modern American Dream, is she not? I mean, it's not the way our grandparents (if they were by some chance famous) did it, but she's made quite a name for herself. From her humble yet memorable start on "American Idol," to a small part in "The House Bunny," to the lead in the new television series "Smash," Katharine has truly climbed the ranks. I had the pleasure of meeting her a couple years ago when The Thread traveled to Los Angeles to film a week's worth of content, and I can assure you she was sweet as can be - - and gorgeous!
