Stunning Sofia Vergara introduces her sexy, affordable Kmart line

When we found out that Sofia Vergara (aka the hilarious, vivacious Gloria on ABC's hit "Modern Family") was launching a fashion line with Kmart, we were more than intrigued. For years we've loved Sofia's style because whether she's in full Hollywood mode or just in street clothes, the Colombian-born actress-model-producer with the trademark cat-eyes and bombshell hair always knows how to dress for her body. We're happy to report that her brand new collection, Sofia by Sofia Vergara, includes figure-flattering, versatile pieces from lace leggings to leopard cocktail dresses all of which echo her own sassy style. Sofia came by our studio to introduce us to the line—her outfit looked amazing and cost under $100! See what Sofia had to say about why style and price don't have to go hand in hand (think she's been watching The Thread?) and why creating pieces for every shape and budget was her ultimate fashion goal.

So many celebs are branching out into fashion lines these days with mixed results. Sofia by Sofia Vergara stands out because the pieces deliver. They reflect Sofia's (and Gloria's) sexy yet wearable vibe, and the fabrics don't feel inexpensive, which is a big issue with mass-market production. Sofia--who is tall even without her ever-present heels--arrived wearing a pair of her dark denim skinnies, a printed camisole, and a black fitted blazer for our interview. I got to wear my favorite piece from the collection, a faux leather motorcross jacket. I've barely taken it off since.

"Modern Family" regulars may recognizes the looks since Sofia-as-Gloria has been wearing several of them this season. There are shoes and accessories and fall separates with personality that are cut for shapely physiques and transition well from work to play. She's got sequined micro mini skirts ($24.99), bright jersey tops with asymmetrical necklines, animal print dresses ($44.99) and fur-collared cardigans ($36.99).

Here are a few of our favorite looks. Let us know if you agree!
