    Tips for using cream blush

If you are tired of wearing powder blush and want something that looks more natural, you should try using a cream blush. When it's used correctly, a cream blush can give your skin a dewy appearance. A little cream blush on your cheeks will make you look like you just got done working out. Cream blush can be a little tricky to put on if you've never used it before. Here are some tips for using cream blush.

    Apply foundation first

Your cream blush will look much more even on your skin if you apply foundation first. For some reason, cream blush tends to look streaky if you don't have foundation on. If foundation is too heavy for you, try using a tinted moisturizer instead.

Make sure your hands are clean

Because you will be applying cream blush with your fingers, you will want to make sure your hands are clean. If you use dirty hands to apply your cream blush, you can cause skin breakouts.

    Use small amounts

Start off by using very small amounts of cream blush, so you avoid looking like a clown. Dab a dot of cream blush to the apple of the cheek and two dots on your cheekbone. Carefully blend the dots together with two fingers.

Don't be afraid to use lipstick

If you don't have a cream blush, you can always use lipstick as a substitute. A creamy lipstick will still give your cheeks the dewy and healthy appearance you're looking for. Choose a lipstick that is pink or coral in color and apply it to your cheeks with your fingers.

Use tissue paper to remove color

If you accidentally applied too much cream blush, just remove some of the color with tissue paper. Gently dab the piece of tissue on your cheeks; do not rub. You could also sweep a little translucent powder on your cheeks to tone down the cream blush.

If your cream blush doesn't look right the first time you apply it, don't give up. With enough practice, you will be applying cream blush like a pro in no time.
