Top 5 hair beauty secrets that everyone can follow

When it comes to being a professional hairstylist, we always have a few tricks up our sleeves. Most of these tricks are usually considered our top favorite beauty secrets, in which most of time we usually don't like to give them out. However, I feel it's good to allow clients or family to know certain ones, because this way it can help tremendously if someone is stuck in a rut. Try these top 5 beauty secrets from someone who knows a lot when it comes to hair and beauty.

Adding Aspirin To Your Hair Products

Aspirin has some awesome uses when it comes to hair. My favorite secret has to be removing build up on the hair from over processed hair color or chlorine buildup. Basically for both methods, you simply place an aspirin into a bottle of shampoo, lather it on the head for 10 minutes, and rinse out with cold water. The aspirin is much cheaper than using a medicated shampoo, and it cleanses the scalp extremely well due to the fact it contains acetylsalicylic acid. If hair still feels grimy repeat process again. This time allow 12-15 minutes.

Curling Your Hair With A Flat Iron

Even though a flat iron is used to straighten hair, it can also create some beautiful and surprising curls.90% of my clients ALWAYS feel the need to make their hair completely straight before curling. This is a total no no. The dirtier the hair the better the desired style will hold. The other top secret is to make sure the flat iron has smaller plates and rounded corners similar to the Conair CS54 Infiniti or the Chi Micro. These two irons will allow you to wrap the strands of hair around properly and NOT get that nasty looking crease a regular iron would leave.

Fixing An Itchy Scalp During Coloring Process

Using Sweet N Low. This beauty secret has to be one of the oldest and most used, especially during a coloring or bleach process. No matter how careful you are not to scratch your scalp or brush your hair vigorously sometimes it just happens unintentionally without you even realizing it. Just to be on the safe side so you avoid any burning sensation or scalp irritation, place a package of Sweet N Low into the hair color mix or bleach. This will help soothe the scalp while the hair is being processed.

    Fixing Self Tanner

When using a self tanner sometimes we end up with those nasty looking streaks, blotches, or ends up too dark on certain areas. Simple solution use 20 volume hair peroxide. Using a rag or cotton ball dip it gently into a bowl of peroxide. Then carefully place it onto the area in need of help. Do not rub too hard at first. Remain on area for 2-3 minutes, give a scrub then rinse off with cold water.

    Adding Volume To Fine Hair

No matter which products you use, sometimes the hair just gets frumpy. People with fine hair have to use a curling iron, extra styling products, blow dryer etc. Instead of going through such a hassle each day, add some color to your hair. The color will give the hair so much body and fullness. This way you can eliminate the other options.
