New York Fashion Week is full of design inspiration from the palettes and patterns to the details and embellishments, and even the onlookers themselves. Yesterday's Badgley Mischka Spring 2010 fashion show truly won me over, though. From coral beading to ethereal white ruffles, many elements of the collection could easily translate to interior design. No visible makeup is officially a makeup trend: at Rachel Comey, BCBG, and Cynthia Steffe, the models have all gone seemingly bare. In fact, Lisa Butler, the makeup artist at the BCBG show, said, "It’s all about the individual. The look is finished, but not made up." She only used mascara, mineral foundation, and lip conditioner. Though I don't have a lot of it in my closet (do any of us?), I quite enjoy naranja, aka orange. It's optimistic, energizing, youthful — it is FitSugar's color, after all. Amongst all the white, neutrals, and grays of Spring, orange stood out to me at once. Red is Fall's favorite fiery hue, so it's no surprise its tangy sister has stepped in for Spring.
