Money Poll: Do your teens use credit cards?
Every year, more teens are using credit cards. This year, a Junior Achievement/Allstate poll finds, teens are spending more on gas than on clothes using credit cards for the first time since the poll was taken.

The complete poll results are not yet online, but a preliminary report says 70 percent of teens use a credit card to buy gasoline, up from 52 percent in 2007 and 46 percent in 2006.
The 2008 poll also finds a 10.4 increase in the number of teens who use a credit card, following an 8.5 percent increase in 2007. What's not clear is how much of the credit card bills teens are paying every month. Thirteen percent of the kids' parents were picking up the tab for 13 percent of the bills..
