Cutting curly hair is nothing like cutting straight hair — curly hair needs a lot of shape or it can take on a triangular shape. Here, some tips before you make your next salon appointment:
•Have your stylist cut your hair when it is dry — curly hair is different when it’s wet versus when it’s dry. Once dry, curly hair expands and gets shorter.
•Go for layers: Layers can eliminate bulk in curly hair. Avoid blunt cuts, which only make your curls expand more (not pretty on a hot, humid day!).

Hi girls! On days like today — rainy, humid, and just overall yucky weather — I like to bring out the big guns! That’s why these curly hair product lines are my fave:
*Hair Rules: My favorite product is their Curly Whip! It tames frizz and protects your curls from humidity, while keeping them soft and shiny!
Go to www.hairrules.com for more info.
*Miss Jessie’s: I LOVE the Curly Pudding. You know when your curls get all poufy and fuzzy? Well this is the cure! And you’ll love the yummy smell! It reminds me of being on a tropical island!
Go to www.missjessies.com for more info.
*Mixed Chicks: My curls are always in need of major moisture. The Leave-In Conditioner from this line works wonderfully!
