Fall in the Northeast is quite possibly our favorite time of year. There’s something about those crisp sunny days, when the air is just cool enough for a first foray into jacket territory, that puts us in a good mood. But the conditions aren’t totally optimal: The in-between warm and cool…

You know you don’t smell like a rose after a hard Spinning class or garlicky dinner.
But it turns out that some less-expected factors—like how quickly you get dressed in the morning or whether you snore—can also affect how…

Poor Cameron Diaz! Not only was she looking extremely thin at the MTV Movie Awards this past Sunday, but she also got caught with some serious pit stains! As a frequent sweater myself, I feel for the girl.
However, for a red carpet event she really should step it up in the deodorant department (it's not like she just got back from the gym or something). Especially since Miss Diaz is a repeat red carpet pit stain offender (check out these images).
Luckily, there is help for Cameron, and all of us out there who can't take two steps without perspiring (I, sadly, speak from experience). The following deodorants are all pit-stain proof according to TotalBeauty.com readers. Maybe Cameron will try one before her next foray onto the red carpet? My husband is not a very smelly person, he has very good hygiene which I'm thankful for. The problem is the scent of deodorant he chooses to wear. When we were first dating he wore a very earthy, kind of spicy scented one that I just adored. I love those kind of smells and I think even told him… Read More »

McConaughey, who is often very active—and shirtless!—says that he
doesn’t use it because he doesn't "like to smell like… Read More »- Let’s talk: Comment (88) | Blog

After learning that so many of you wear men’s deodorant, I decided to lend my armpits up for a week see what all the fuss was about. I even gave the experiment a name ("The Men's Deodorant Challenge") and invited our readers to try it with me. But before I get to my full report I should disclose that there was one kind of hilarious unexpected side effect that actually made me end the test a bit early…. Read More »

Those of you who refrain from throwing your hands in the air and waving them like you just don’t care for fear of unsightly sweat stains and body odor might be pleased to know that Unilever feels your pain. The makers of wetness-protection giant Sure will debut a new, high-performance deodorant next month as part of an extension of the popular brand, targeting what they’re calling the “anxious sweater” demographic—or people who worry their deodorant isn’t working effectively. According to Marketingweek.com, the two new antiperspirant deodorant products, Sure Woman Maximum Protection and Sure Men Maximum Protection, claim to offer twice the protection of the best-selling antiperspirant of popular jingle fame, promising up to 48 hours of... You know that coworker. The one who bathes in perfume? Leaves behind a wall of scent you slam into on your way to the coffee machine? Well here's some retribution to anonymously post on her cube wall...
A Detroit city worker says her coworker's too-strong perfume makes it too difficult for her to breathe and do her job. So she's suing!
Hey, I support smelling nice. So much that I'm always consumer-testing new deodorants to see which ones really work (and don't). And while it can be easy to sort through all the new perfumes to find the right one for me (this quiz helped), I still have to remember, there's a fine line between smelling good... and just smelling.
So is there somebody at your office who's guilty? (Or is it you?) Should perfume be banned at work?
