How my family is reacting to the "new" me
Many of you asked in the comments section yesterday what my family's reaction over the weekend was to my progress so far. Well, my brother asked me if I'm a size 10 now. Definitely not, but it was a nice compliment. And then, keepin' it real, he told me not to get cocky about my... Read More »

It Happened
Yesterday, I was
in a bathroom at the Atlanta airport changing Alex when a seemingly
nice woman came over and started telling me how adorable Alex is and
how much she loved his ridiculously-cute Easter outfit. She asked me if
he was going to have an Easter egg hunt and I said not this year... Read More »- Let’s talk: Comment (0) | Blog

We stayed out late on Friday night, and had to get up so early on Saturday, and then Saturday was very busy and we stayed up late, and so Sunday, I slept in, hard. Delicious Deviled Eggs
My boyfriend LOVES deviled eggs. He first tried them a few years ago at my parents' house, and it was love at first sight. Er... taste. (Should I be jealous?) My mom knows this, so every time she has hard boiled eggs and he's around, she makes some deviled eggs just for him. Even when we were younger, we always had deviled eggs for every celebration - birthdays, Easter, Fourth of July, New Year's Eve... we loved them! I think you'll love this recipe that my mom uses from a cookbook called "Picnics & Tailgate Parties" too.

Scalloped Potatoes
Every time we buy a Honeybaked ham, my mom makes these scalloped potatoes. She usually starts them early in the morning, and it cooks all day, torturing us with the tasty smells! This year she decided to use bacon instead of the ham, and it was delicious! I love it both ways, but I think I would have to compare them both at once to figure out which I like best. Yeah... they're that good!

My Korean Mom, The Sitcom: Easter Redux
This is a fairly typical conversation with my Korean mother.Mom: Guess what? I'm in a play for Easter. Me: Again? Are you dancing and falling on the ground this year? Mom: What? No, not that. I'm playing an angel. You believe that? Me: So you're playing... Read More »

Chocolate Turtle Cupcakes
This morning, I called my mom to ask her what we were eating for Easter tomorrow. (See this post to see what she said.) I noticed she didn't mention any desserts, so I asked her what she wanted me to make. "Hmmmm... cupcakes sound good... chocolate cupcakes! Oooh... how about chocolate turtle cupcakes?" Well, I've never made chocolate turtle cupcakes before, and although I'm sure there were box mixes, I didn't really want cupcakes out of a box. So off I go to my trusty food blogs to find some good recipes.
